I am a psychologist with respect, tolerance and deep understanding of our «small differences and great similarities» as humans. Many of my clients are expats living and working in Oslo, Norway.
I work with tools and techniques from several therapeutic directions to tailor the best treatment. Different talking therapies suit different kinds of people. My goal is to find the best therapeutic direction for every client so that we achieve efficiency, optimal results, change, and change processes that last over time.

FAQ ABOUT THERAPY IN 🇳🇴NORWAY
There are many questions about the process of seeing a psychologist and having therapy in Norway. It is normal to wonder how the process works and what to expect. Here in our FAQ section, we answer the most frequently asked questions and hope it answers yours. If you do not find an answer to your question, please leave a comment or use our chat and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Just book online. No referral needed. Or you can contact us by email or telephone. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible and answer any questions you may have regarding the therapy process.
We offer 50 and 90 -minute counseling sessions with the frequency to be determined by you. It’s normal to have weekly appointments in the beginning.

Counseling sessions are confidential with the exception that if you pose a danger to yourself or others, then the relevant parties will be notified.
If you are employed by a Norwegian company, most likely your employer has insurance that will cover your counseling expenses with a Norwegian psychologist. Normally up to 5 -10 in-office sessions or online sessions. Get in touch and we will help you find out
We are happy to say our office is located in Oslo and Online.
Yes! We do have online therapy, chat and text therapy – a subscription service where you can text your psychologist as often and much you desire.
In 🇳🇴Norway, a psychologist is a protected title. All psychologist have at least six years of university education and training in psychology, based on the scientific/practitioner model.
A therapist is not a protected title. Anyone can call themselves some sort of therapist, but only a psychologist can use the title psychologist.
A clinical psychologist is a mental health professional who has special training and can diagnose mental illnesses and identify chronic behavioural problems.
No, you do not need a referral from a doctor. You can get an appointment with the psychologist without being referred by your GP.
Psychologist Lurås does not write sick leaves.
Yes, children can go to a psychologist. The conversation is adapted to age, maturity and challenge.
